ABOUT LYNN BASA
Lynn Basa is painter, public artist and author living in Chicago. She taught in the Sculpture department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2006 to 2012, and is the author of The Artist’s Guide to Public Art: How to Find and Win Commissions. Some of her permanent public art commissions include Chicago CTA Argyle train station, a mosaic for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a mosaic for the Ballet West in Salt Lake City, UT.
Basa’s work can be found in permanent collections at Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Tacoma Art Museum in Tacoma, Washington among others.
